I received a graduate degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, where I studied and was trained in acupuncture and other therapeutic modalities, herbal medicine, nutrition, therapeutic massage, structural diagnosis, orthopedic testing, biomedicine, western medical diagnosis, and pharmacology. I am licensed to practice acupuncture in Oregon by the Oregon Medical Board (Lic #161400) and nationally certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
I was a long-time acupuncture patient before pursuing a career as a Chinese medical practitioner. With regular treatments that included acupuncture and herbs, I noticed improvements with a number of physical ailments: gallbladder inflammation, insomnia, menstrual difficulties, headaches, stress-related tension. Chinese medicine truly changed my quality of life for the better, and I want to provide that outcome for my patients.
Mission/Focus of Practice
My mission as a health care practitioner is to help patients take the long view with respect to implementing changes so that they can achieve their health goals. I offer therapeutic treatments, guidance on nutrition and supplementation, and encouragement along the way. I provide my patients with a health plan that outlines the direction I’m going to take them in, how long it will take to get there, and what is required of them.
I have treated conditions as varied as musculoskeletal and gastrointestinal problems, menopausal symptoms, insomnia, anxiety, headaches, and pain. My clinical focus is on treating patients with pain conditions and those recovering from active lifestyles and related injuries as well as lifestyle-related stress and associated symptoms. I also offer non-invasive pediatric treatments to children whose parents are seeking an alternative to medications and the standard medical treatment model.

My Vision for a Healthier World
I spent my childhood running around in the outdoors of Northern California and continue to experience movement and recreation in many different forms: biking, skiing, yoga, swimming, dancing, hiking, playing golf. My quality of life is enhanced when I am able to perform these activities, and acupuncture treatments keep the aches and pains away so that I can continue to play. When our bodies are in motion and we are focused on the moment, our minds are free. This is what I hope for my patients: connecting with and enjoying strong, healthy bodies and being at peace with whatever stage of life they are in.
